For a Retreat Weekend, I recommend planning 8 hours of “active” time with the workshop content and yoga flows of your choice. In the downloadable workbook, you will find a sample schedule of 2 hours Friday evening, 2 hours Saturday morning, 2 hours Saturday evening, and a final 2 hours of Sunday morning.
It is, of course, up to you how you want to arrange your retreat. I do recommend, though, setting a schedule to follow so that it feels structured.
The workshop videos are included in this unit for you, in order. Be mindful of how your body feels; if you do two yoga sessions on the second day, you might want one that is more gentle or a meditation vs. a flow.
Prior to the weekend, I always like to block off as much of the weekend as possible so that my downtime is truly downtime. I can rest or read or go for a walk or enjoy any of the other activities listed in the workbook. It helps set the weekend apart rather than just trying to fit the retreat content into an already busy schedule. This is really important and sacred time.
You might want to set up your space in advance; have a special tea or drink to enjoy, a new journal, etc. Set alarms for your morning sessions; turn your phone off during your retreat times (maybe all weekend), and give yourself time to go where the retreat takes you.
Keep in mind as you watch that these workshop videos are from a live, virtual weekend retreat. You will hear a few other voices from retreat attendees. I left their questions in the recordings because I think what they had to say was so valuable. I hope you agree and that you share after your retreat weekend how it went, how it felt, what you thought.
