It’s the #1 Fear of Many New Yogis coming to Studio Yoga Classes

It’s also probably the #1 fear of seasoned yogis as well, and yet it’s also something we know is completely natural. It’s not something to be embarrassed about, yet not being embarrassed is also as seemingly impossible as avoiding the fear altogether.

Is farting in yoga as common as we think/worry/fear?

Well…..yes, yes, it is.

BUT — it happens enough that everyone who comes to yoga understands that it is natural and good and will not bat an eye or giggle or acknowledge that it happened. Class continues because it is simply another part of life and of moving our bodies.

It’s happened to me, and it might happen to you. Every class I have ever led has been in a supportive community of people who have nothing but empathy and understanding for the yogis sharing the space. Of the reasons to not attend a studio class, don’t let this be one that stops you.
