Beginner-Friendly Yoga: Modifying Sequences for a More Comfortable Practice

One of my core values as a yoga instructor is helping everyone find their practice. You can adjust and adapt the practice for YOU; you do not need to fit yourself into the pose or the practice.

I went live recently in my Facebook group “Me, Myself, and Yoga” to show just this for a specific sequence. You can watch the video below to see how a flow of Crescent lunge — Runner’s lunge with a twist — split prep — side plank can be adjusted in multiple ways.

I demonstrate modifying the sequence with no props.
I demonstrate modifying the sequence with a blanket and block.
I demonstrate modifying the sequence with a chair.
