Dear Self: You’ve Got a Friend in Me

A few weeks ago I did a Facebook LIVE about a quote I hear a lot regarding the idea that you become who you associate with. The people around you the most have a huge impact on your mindset and behavior. We need to choose carefully, then.

That also means, what we tell ourselves and who we are to ourselves is SUPER important. You spend the most time with yourself! It won’t matter if you spend time with amazing people if you are telling yourself negative self-talk all day, every day. You also need to increase your own average. You need to be a positive and encouraging and motivating and challenging force in your own life.

Hopefully we add to the average of those around us, but we need to be just as vigilant to improve our own average, to be kind and uplifting and supportive to ourselves, to be forgiving and understanding.

So – do you increase your own average? Feel free to comment and discuss. How can we be a great addition to our own days, weeks, months, and years?
